Services

At Kensington Gastroenterology, we provide diagnosis and treatment of digestive diseases.

Our services include:

Diagnosis and Management of Gastrointestinal Diseases

Endoscopy

Upper GI Gastroscopy: This is an investigation (using an endoscope) of the upper gastrointestinal tract (oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum) to determine the existence of peptic ulcers, celiac disease, reflux and other problems.

Colonoscopy: This is an investigation (using a colonoscope) of the lower gastro-intestinal tract (colon and rectum) to determine if there are pre-cancerous polyps, cancer, or inflammatory bowel disease.

Video Capsule Endoscopy: Some parts of the small intestine cannot be viewed through a regular endoscope, but can be viewed through this new technique involving capsule endoscopy.

Bowel Cancer Screening

  • National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
  • Family history evaluation and risk assessment
  • Evaluation of faecal occult blood testing

Screening tests are check-ups done to detect cancer early. Colon or Bowel cancer screening can reduce the risk of death from bowel cancer in people over 50.
